"Bootle Mark on the up" |
|
Eighteen months ago Bootle Mark No 478 had a
meeting to discuss the future of the Lodge and the
outcome looked bleak indeed.
In stepped Provincial Secretary Geoff Lee to offer
encouragement and advice to go forward. Two joining
members, a rejoining member and an advancement
have turned the corner for the Lodge.

Barry Hesketh P.Pr G Insp Wks, the Lodge Secretary,
as W. Bro Stephen Black was taken ill on the day and
what a super installation he performed !!
Seven Grand Officers attended along with The Deputy
Provincial Grand Master V.W. Bro Keith Beardmore and
V.W.Bro Fred Hargreaves who's support of the local

W. Bro. Brian Molyneux the Provincial Grand Masters
Special Representative for the area was otherwise
engaged at the Provincial Team visit in Southport
but W.Bro John Forster P.G.Stwd ( Spec Rep Blackpool
and Fylde) attended to add to the occasion.
The atmosphere generated by the Brethren was
truly uplifting, considering the Lodge had come
so near to closing. | |
A candidate is being advanced in December and
two Master masons attending at the evenings festive
board filled in application forms, the future looks
good. | |
